Just saw this tragedy that occurred at the Beltway/50 interchange in Falls Church back in December.
There was a pretty big 23-vehicle crash at around 5:12 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 17, 2016. Apparently road conditions at the time were pretty slick and treacherous.
Anyways apparently one of the poor folks involved in the crash, Liem Nguyen, got out of his vehicle about a mile down the road from the wreck and someone hit him while he was out of his car!
Liem T. Nguyen, 41, of Alexandria, Va., was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado north on I-495 when it spun out of control on the icy roadway, struck the Jersey wall and spun back into the travel lanes.
He exited his vehicle and spoke briefly to another driver just moments before oncoming traffic began sliding out of control and crashing.
Nguyen was struck by other vehicles in the course of that multi-vehicle crash.
He died at the scene.
Not only was this not accidental, someone had to have seen something!
Granted traffic was probably light at 5:12 a.m. on a Saturday, but I’m sure there were plenty of eyes on the scene. Dashcams too?! Someone chime in.
