The suspect is described as:

  • Black male
  • ~5’10”
  • between 40 and 50 years of age
  • medium complexion and a black and gray colored beard
Caution:

Law enforcement officials are seeking information about an unknown suspect wanted for committing a series of armed robberies in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia:

On October 18, 2015, at approximately 12:18 p.m., a male suspect robbed the Exxon gas station located at 501 South Van Dorn Street in Alexandria, Virginia.  The suspect entered the gas station, indicated that he had a firearm, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise.  The suspect then fled the scene in a newer-model silver or gray sedan.  He was described as wearing a black Florida Marlins baseball cap, a gray hooded sweatshirt with dark letters on the front showing a partial word “…CERSBURG,” a dark-colored jacket, dark-colored pants, and dark-colored shoes.

On October 19, 2015, at approximately 1:12 a.m., the suspect robbed the 7-Eleven located at 8905 Rhode Island Avenue in College Park, Maryland.  The suspect entered the store, approached the counter, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.  He then fled the area in a silver or light blue sedan.  The suspect was described as having a weapon and as wearing a dark-colored coat over a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black glasses, and a black baseball cap with an orange brim.

On October 19, 2015, at approximately 6:50 a.m., the suspect robbed the Shell gas station located at 13811 Annapolis Road in Bowie, Maryland.  The suspect entered the store, approached the counter, and displayed a black handgun.  He obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled the area in a silver sedan.  He was described as wearing a dark-colored jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, and glasses.

On September 4, 2016, at approximately 6:47 a.m., the suspect robbed the Exxon gas station located at 501 South Van Dorn Street in Alexandria, Virginia.  The suspect entered the store, indicated that he had a weapon, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.  He then fled on foot toward South Van Dorn Street.  He was described as wearing a red Washington Nationals baseball cap, a gray sweatshirt with

the word “MERCERSBURG” on the front, black shorts, black shoes, and black socks.

On September 6, 2016, at approximately 8:40 a.m., the suspect robbed the CVS located at 6200 Central Avenue in Seat Pleasant, Maryland.  The suspect displayed a silver revolver during the robbery.  He was described as wearing a red t-shirt, black shorts, and a black hat.  He had tattoos on his left arm.

On September 6, 2016, at approximately 10:15 a.m., the suspect robbed the Exxon gas station located at 3535 Connecticut Avenue NW in Washington, DC.  The suspect was described as wearing a black hat, a red t-shirt, and black pants.

On September 6, 2016, at approximately 11:01 am, the suspect robbed the Sunoco gas station located at 1830 Fort Myer Drive in Arlington, Virginia.  The suspect entered the gas station, implied he had a weapon, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise. The suspect fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival.  He was described as wearing a red shirt, black shorts, a black hat, black shoes, and black glasses.
