The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in providing information about a robbery which was reported to have occurred at the BP service station on Jefferson Davis Hwy located in the Dumfries area of Prince William County.


On February 22 at 12:37AM, officers responded to the BP service station located at 17400 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery.

An employee reported to police that an unknown man entered the store brandishing a firearm and demanding money.

At one point, the suspect discharged one round toward the employee, missing him.

The man took an undisclosed amount of money then fled the area in a silver 4-door sedan.

No injuries were reported.

Officers checked the area for the suspects who were not located.

The investigation continues.

Suspect Description:
  • Black male
  • 5’07’’
  • 185lbs with a medium build
  • Last seen wearing a black ski mask, grey jacket, light blue jeans, a black back pack, and one black glove on his left hand
