Detectives Investigate Homicide in Upper Marlboro

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide in Upper Marlboro.

The victim is 37-year-old Osama El-Atari of St. George’s Court in Leesburg.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On February 13, 2016, around 3:39 pm, patrol officers were called to the 9000 block of Armstrong Lane.

The victim was found inside of a pickup truck suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to identify a motive and suspect(s) in this case.

On February 11, 2016, the victim was reported missing in Loudoun County.

Loudoun County, VA– The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the whereabouts of missing Leesburg, Va. resident Osama El-Atari.

El-Atari was reported missing by family members on February 11.

He was last seen around 5 p.m. on February 10 in the 1600 block of Rochelle Avenue in Capitol Heights, Maryland.

El-Atari is described as being:

  • 5’6” tall
  • 200 pounds
  • black hair and brown eyes

He drives a 2015 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck with a Montana tag.
