Man inside school had no reason to be there, police said

Video surveillance footage of the suspect (FCPD)

Authorities are asking for help identifying a man who was found trespassing at a Fairfax County school earlier this month.

Fairfax County Police say a Westfield High School employee saw the man inside the school around 3:30 p.m. Dec. 8.

Staff members asked him to leave several times, and eventually he complied.

Police said the man was acting suspiciously and that it was clear that he did not have a reason to be on school grounds.

The man is:

  • ~24 to 30 years old
  • ~5 feet 6 inches tall
  • ~140 pounds
  • He had a beard and wore black pants, a dark blue jacket and glasses

They released an image captured on surveillance video showing the suspect.
